Why does each of us need a piece of “ancient art masterpiece”?
— Ye Lingyu, an expert in the appreciation and collection of ancient Chinese art, attended the Harvard Special Session of the World Leaders Forum.
Wall Street Live Room
On April 12, 2026, local time, the Harvard Special Session of the World Leaders Forum was successfully held at the Harvard University Science Center. This event brought together guests from the global business, academic, and technological communities, as well as international organizations, to engage in in-depth dialogues on core topics such as AI-enabled business, business education in the AI era, EB-5 financial models and real estate development, and global real estate investment trends, providing participants with cutting-edge insights and collaboration opportunities.
The event was hosted by Allan, a renowned New York lawyer. Notable guests included Peng Dan, Director of the Institute of International Economic Strategy, a famous actress and entrepreneur; Ye Lingyu, a renowned expert in the connoisseurship of ancient Chinese art; and Dr. Zhang Dezhao, a renowned traditional Chinese medicine practitioner and one of the most outstanding overseas TCM experts—a cancer specialist who brings acupuncture to the US Congress and provides monthly acupuncture treatments to members of Congress. Through keynote speeches, open Q&A sessions, and discussions, the event delved into cutting-edge topics such as how artificial intelligence is reshaping industrial operations, how business education can adapt to technological change, and innovative paths for cross-border finance and real estate investment, providing diverse perspectives and practical references for the transformation of the global business landscape.
This special session was jointly hosted by Boston International Business School (BIBS), House.world, and other organizations, with support from Faraday Future, Lin’s Group, Century Group, Marbella AI, and other institutions. It focused on the integration of cutting-edge technology and the real economy, built a high-end exchange platform across cultures and fields, and helped connect global innovation resources and promote the coordinated development of the business ecosystem.
Antique collector Ye Lingyu also attended the forum and delivered a speech entitled “Why Does Each of Us Need a ‘Masterpiece of Ancient Art’?”
I. Ten Key Elements for Success in Collecting Ancient Art Masterpieces
1. Artistic level: At least ancient art masterpieces.
2. Source level: Highest level, Royal Use.
3. Historical value: Archaeological context and historical events.
4. Appreciation potential: The direction of collection is crucial for survival.
5. Using artifacts to verify history: Learn from history to enhance wisdom.
6. Permanent storage: porcelain, jade, glass, bronze.
7. Portable Health Preservation: Condensed wealth for health and wellness.
8. Family emergency: Family emergency under specific conditions.
9. Family Heritage: Passing on family wisdom and precepts.
10. Cultural Heritage: Collaborate on the preservation and transmission of cultural heritage.
II. Four Key Factors to Success in Personal Collections
1. Eyesight.
2. Courage.
3. Financial resources.
4. Luck.
The ultimate goal of collecting is luck, metaphysics, or good fortune.
On April 10th, Mr. Ye held the inaugural exhibition of the Jeff Collection at Rockefeller Center, and he also received a prestigious award from the New York State government. A “Legislative Resolution,” bearing the state’s authoritative mark and solemn signature, was officially recorded in the archives of public history.
Professor Rong Liya, Dean of Boston International Business School (BIBS), is not someone who belongs to only one school. She has provided significant support and contributions to the presidents and trustees of six Ivy League universities in the United States.
More importantly, she did something that many people didn’t see, but which had a profound impact—
She spearheaded the Chinese translation and introduction of the Harvard University president’s autobiography. The significance of this lies not in the book itself, but in the fact that she was building a language of understanding between two worlds. Therefore, when we discussed founding the Boston International Business School, I was very clear in my mind: if this school is to have a soul…
That position belongs to her without a doubt.
Her family is like a microcosm. All three members graduated from Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School. Her husband is Italian. Her daughter is a blend of Chinese and Western cultures.
In her, you can see two things at the same time: Chinese roots and American openness.
Moreover, these are not conflicting. Within her, they are reconciled. And for this very reason, we have today’s “World Celebrity Series” – a special session focusing on Harvard University. When this mode of expression meets Professor Rong’s solid and profound educational system, we gain something truly special—
A classroom unlike any traditional classroom: more like an open space.
A qualified and reputable professor, scholar, entrepreneur, business leader, or think tank researcher can all come in and talk about culture, technology, the future, and even questions that don’t yet have answers. Just like today.
It is not just about imparting knowledge, but about allowing thinking to happen and ideas to become action.
